A man who was found to be in possession of drugs was arrested Friday in a shoplifting incident at Target at Rolling Acres Plaza.
Cory Lawson Crumpton, 31, of Ocala, entered the store and was “looking around nervously and suspiciously,” according to an arrest report from the Lady Lake Police Department. The store’s loss prevention officer watched as Crumpton took a Fabriq speaker and put it down his pants. He left the store without paying for the speaker valued at $99.
After Crumpton was detained by police, two small separate baggies were found in his wallet. One contained methamphetamine and the second contained MDMA.
He was arrested on charges of retail theft, possession of methamphetamine and possession of MDMA. He was booked at the Lake County Jail on $5,000 bond.
