A Florida Highway Patrol trooper’s dash camera caught a dramatic rollover crash in Ocala on film early Tuesday afternoon.
The crash happened at 12:35 p.m. at the intersection of State Road 200 and S.W. 34th Avenue. A vehicle was pulling onto SR 200 and clipped the back passenger side of a black sedan. The sedan swerved to the left and flipped onto its roof, landing in the left lane in front of the Olive Garden restaurant.
Ocala Police Det. Steve Daunhauer was driving an unmarked Chevrolet police vehicle and barely missing hitting the sedan as it quickly rolled past the front of his car.
The driver of the vehicle that flipped received minor injuries that weren’t consider life-threatening and was transported to a local hospital by ambulance. The crash snarled traffic and was investigated by Ocala Police officers.
