The First Friday Art Walk makes its return to downtown Ocala next month, and applications are still being accepted for event artists, buskers, and participating organizations.
The event is being held on Friday, January 7, 2022, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. in and around Ocala’s Historic Downtown Square.
It will feature local artists selling their works throughout the downtown area, live music including a performance on the downtown square by Fareeza, a performance by Marion County Center for the Arts Dance, and hands-on art activities and demonstrations for all ages provided by local non-profit and cultural organizations.
Anyone wanting to participate in the event can apply through the Ocala Recreation and Parks First Friday Art Walk application website.
Multiple downtown businesses are extending their hours of operation for next month’s event. In the event of inclement weather, the event will be cancelled.
The First Friday Art Walk series takes place on the first Friday of each month through May 6, 2022.
