Cast iron cooking classes are returning to the Fort King National Historic Landmark at the end of the month.

The first hands-on class will take place on Saturday, January 28, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Fort King National Historic Landmark, which is located at 3925 E Fort King Street in Ocala.

During the class, participants will get to step back in time while learning how to cook over an open fire. The class will provide various tips and tricks to make delicious meals using a cast iron skillet along with the proper care instructions.

The cast iron cooking classes are for adults only (ages 18 and up), and there is a $20 fee to participate. Additional cooking classes will be held throughout the year on the following Saturdays: March 18, September 16, and October 21.
